Forests can only be considered as renewable resources if they are managed in a sustainable matter where it is conserved in a manner where a periodical cutting cycle/rotation (say after 50 years) is imposed and only selected matured trees are removed.

forest are renewable resources because trees can be grown again within a limit of time but it can be non renewable resource also because if they are cut down faster than growing .

so it depends on how much we grow and how much we cut
