Forests help in controlling floods. Do u agree? Give Reasons

No, I don't think this.
Because there is no connection between forest and flooding. Flooding reason is 'water accumulate in one or the same place, as rivers Cross its banks and thus flooding takes place

yes ,i agree because When plants grow in an area, the roots of plants dig deep in to the soil and create space between soil particles. When it rains in highlands, water that flows downhill gets drained into the space created by the root system of plants. Due to this, chance of flooding is greatly reduced.

And

In presence of trees, rain water does not hit the ground directly.

It rather hits the ground slowly. Hence, before flooding, all the rain water seeps through ground. In this way, forests prevent floods.
