"Forgiveness is a divine but rare virtue". Comment on this statement with respect to the poem 'Lord Ullin's Daughter'.

Forgiveness is divine but rare virtue

Forgiveness is a great quality which everyone font posess.Forgiveness is aleways rewarded too.Thus it is something divine but a rare virtue because eventhough its a virtue ,people are mostly impatient to control anger and get agitated when things as opposite of their wish.So they dont tend to forgive.

While comparing this to the the context of 'Lord Ullin's daughter' we realize that if Lord Ullin was willing to forgive her daighter for eloping with his lover ,he might have not lost her daughter forever and all of them could have led a happy life.
