1> let number be x so
2x+4=10
= x =10-4/2
x= 3
2> let the price of chair be x
then ,
3x + 2(x+20) = 340
3x + 2x +40 = 340
5x = 340
x = 340/5
x = 68
in other words cost of 2 tables = 2*68 = 136 rupees
and cost of chair = x = 68
cost of 3 chair = 68*3= 204
hence solved.
