let the α & β be the roots of Quadratic equation

α=1/2, β=-3/4

α+β=1/2+(-3/4)

= -1/4

αβ= 1/2 * (-3/4)

= -3/8

The required Quadratic equation is

x^2-(α+β)x+αβ=0

substitute value of α+β & αβ in above equation

x^2-(-1/4)x+(-3/8) = 0

x^2+1/4x-3/8= 0

multiply by 8 on both side

8x^1+2x-3=0
