Step-by-step explanation:

Any one side of a triangle may be considered as its base. There are different ways of calculating base of a triangle.

(1) Base = (2*area)/ corresponding altitude

(2) If ABC is an acute triangle & BC is considered as its Base

Then, BC = √(AB² - AC² + 2BC*CX) , where CX is projection of AC on BC.

(3) If, ABC is an obtuse triangle with angle C as obtuse & BC is considered as its base.

Then BC = √( AB² - AC² - 2BC*CX), where CX is projection of AC on BC extended.

(4) If triangle is a right triangle right angled at C. Then BC = √( AB² - AC²)

(5) Or apply law of Cosine or sine…. using angles …

(6) Above methods are all for calculation . One more option you may have. Simply measure it using graduated edge, if it is measurable….
