siddhant3613: if we want to name a compound with 2 electronegative ions then we add a prefix to the 2nd name. Eg. CS2 is carbon disulphide , P2O5 is Phosphorous PentaOxide etc.

C has valency 4 and S has 2

Exchange the valencies
U will get C2S4
On simplification u will get CS2
