1. Gypsum

Gypsum is composed of calcium sulphate (CaSO4) and water (H2O). Its chemical name is calcium sulphate dihydrate (CaSO4. 2H2O).

2. Bakingpowder

The chemical name for baking powder is sodium hydrogencarbonate. You may see it called bicarbonate of soda in the supermarket. This is the old name for the same stuff. It has the chemical formula NaHCO3.

3. POP

The chemical name of plaster of Paris is calcium sulphate hemihydrate because half-molecule of water is attached with calcium sulphate. The chemical formula of plaster of Paris is CaSO4. 1/2H2O.

4.Baking soda

Baking Soda is sodium bicarbonate which is NaHCO3. Antacids are those bases or alkalis which reduce the acidity of our stomach
