hello frnd!

if u r asking for class 8th then I know.

but there's only one formula in this chapter...

which is Euler's formula.

in which we can verify that whether the polygon is possible or not with the given faces, vertices and edges.

we can also fine the no. of edge, face or vertices.

the formula is F+V-E=2

let me give u an example...

let the no. of faces be 6 and vertices be 8. and edge is not given. it means now we have to find the no. edges.

in this case we will use Euler's formula.

we know that F+V-E=2

6+8-E=2

14-E=2

14-2=E

E=12

verification:-

=F+V-E

=(6+8)-12

=14-12

=2

hence verified

so we can use this formula in this type of cases like when u want to find it's faces, vertices or edges.

this is also used when we are asked that whether this polygon is possible or not.

example:-

1.

given:-

face=7

vertices=9

edge=12

Euler's formula-

=F+V-E

=(7+9)-12

=18-12

=6

hence, not verified. it means with the given no. faces, vertices and sides, the polygon can't be possible.

2.

given:-

face=5

vertices=5

edge=8

Euler's formula-

=F+V-E

=(5+5)-8

=10-8

=2

hence verified. it means with the given no. of faces, vertices and edges, polygon can be possible.

hope u can now understand the formula and how to do this.

hope this helps u...

Answer:-

Measurements like length and breadth are therefore there are called two dimensional shapes where is a solid object has three measurements like Length breadth height and depth hence they are called dimensional shapes ,also object solid occupation space to Diamond shapes and 3D shapes figures can also briefly named as 2D and 3D figures this together called as reading solid shapes
