FORMULAS FOR FORCE AND LAWS OF MOTION:

1) Force = Mass * Acceleration

2) Force = Momentum/Time

3) Work = Force * Displacement

4) Momentum = Mass * Velocity

5) Acceleration = Velocity/Time

Now, the equations for laws of motion (i.e. kinematics)

6) v=u+at

7) s=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}  at^{2}

8) v^{2}=u^{2}  +2as

  • "v" is final velocity, "u" is initial velocity, "a" is acceleration and "s" is the displacement and "t" is the time taken.

Additional Information:

  • Displacement, acceleration, velocity are all vector quantities.
  • Momentum is also a vector quantity characterised by the product of mass and velocity.
  • Force is product of mass and velocity, in other words it is rate of change of momentum.
