The correct decreasing order for the given burning candles for the time for which they will continue to burn is as follows :-

Candle 4 - Candle 2 - Candle 1 - Candle 3

Reason :

  • Candle 4 is filled with oxygen. And oxygen supports combustion. Therefore, it will keep on burning for the most time.

  • Candle 2 is filled up with a lot of air. Hence, it will also keep burning for long.

  • Candle 1 is also filled with air, but the amount is less. Hence, it will also keep burning but not for much time. Therefore, it will also keep on burning but not for long.

  • Candle 3 is filled up with lot of Carbon dioxide. And carbon dioxide doesn't supports burning. Therefore, the flame will be extinguished in a short time.

Hope my answer is helpful...
