Four cards numbered 1, 5, 8, and 9 are placed in a bag. A card 27
is drawn at random and then replaced. Then a card is drawn
at random again. What is the probability that both cards drawn

Answer:

There are total 4 cards and 9 is one of them

So probability= 1/4

Since the Card is replaced, then the total number of cards does not change, so probability is again 1/4.

Normally in this type of question in thr first part, card drawn is not 9 and not replaced. Then you are asked to find probability

In that case probability= 1/3 because total number of cards has become 3
