If two cubes are joined, then the resultant shape will be a cuboid and the length of that cuboid will be twice the edge of each cube,breadth and height are the edge of cube.
Therefore,the length of the cuboid(l)=2*5=10cm
Breadth of the cuboid(b)=5cm
Height of the cuboid(h)=5cm
Total surface area of the cuboid=2[lb+bh+lh]
=2[(10*5)+(5*5)+(10*5)]
=2(50+25+50)
=2(125)
=250 sq.cm.
Cost of painting=250(300)=Rs.75,000.

if 4 cubes of 5cm are joined then a cuboid of length 20cm , breadth 5cm and height 5cm is formed
TSA of cuboid =2(lb+lh+bh)
=2{20*5)+(20*5)+(5*5)
=2{100+100+25}
=2(225)
=450 cm2
the cost of painting 1 square meter = Rs 300
the cost of painting the cuboid = 450*300
=Rs 135000
the cost of painting the cuboid is 135000
TSA of cuboid =2(lb+lh+bh)
=2{20*5)+(20*5)+(5*5)
=2{100+100+25}
=2(225)
=450 cm2
the cost of painting 1 square meter = Rs 300
the cost of painting the cuboid = 450*300
=Rs 135000
the cost of painting the cuboid is 135000
