Write the electronic configuration s of Q and R and determine their valences. Write the molecular formula of the compound formed when P and S combine.

Q=2,8,3 ( Valency=+3 )

R=2,8,5 ( Valency=-3 )

When P and S combine they form: PS

∵P=2,8,1 ( Valency=+1 )

S=2,8,7  ( Valency=-1 )
