If four cubes are joined together to form a block of volume 32 cubic cm

Then , the volume of 1 cube is (32/4) cubic cm which is equal to 8 cubic cm

Now , the side of the cube is

$volm \: = (side) {}^{3} \\ 8cm {}^{3} = (side) {}^{3} \\ side = \sqrt[3]{8cm {}^{3} } \\ side \: = 2cm$

Hence the side of each cube is 2cm
