Given - : Moles = 4 and Given mass = 176 gram .


Now,


=> 4 = 176/M


=> M = 176/4


=> M = 44


So , the compound is Scandium .

Mass of the 4 moles of compound = 176 gm.

⇒ Molar mass of the compound = 176/4

= 44 g/mole.

∵ 44 g/mole is the molar mass of the gaseous compound called as Carbon Dioxide.

Hence, the Compound X is Carbon Dioxide.  

Its Chemical Formula is CO₂.  It is little acidic in nature.
