The law which agrees with this observation is "The law of definite Proportion". Water(H2O) contains two atoms of Hydrogen and one atom of Oxygen. The atomic mass of Hydrogen is 1 and that of Oxygen is 16. So, mass of two hydrogen atoms is 2 and mass of one Oxygen atom is 16. According to law of definite proportion, This ratio wil be constant in any sample of pure water i.e. ratio of 2:16 or 1:8.

riya1123p: i want to mark it as branliest but the sign is not appearing.
mAbhiOjha: Actually, when there will be two answers on a question. Then only you can mark one as brainliest.
