area of square s × s = s2

14×14 = 196 sq.cm

area of circle = π r2

therefore area of semicircle = 1/2 πr2

1/2 22/7 × 49

1/2 22/1 × 7

77 sq.cm

therefore area of figure =

area of square is 196 sq.cm+

area of four semicircle = 77×4

=308 sq.cm

therefore 196 + 308 =504 sq.cm
