Four students A,B,C,D are asked to prepare colloidal sollutions. A prepare-Starch powder, B prepare - sugar, C prepare salt, D prepares - egg colloidal solutions. Name the student, who will be able to prepare colloidal solutions. Write two properties of colloidal solution.

The correct colloid was made by student A-starch solution. Starch in water,although appears to be homogeneous but is heterogeneous as unlike salt or sugar,starch doesn’t readily dissolve in water,making it a colloid. Plus,a starch solution shows Tyndall effect.

Properties of colloidal solution are;
•Appears to be homogeneous but is heterogeneous.
•Particles disperse light rays when passed through the solution.
