4 years ago :

let age of ram be = x yr

age of shyam =3/ 4 times of ram's age

= 3/ 4 x yr

_______________________________
Present age :
_______________________________
present age of ram = ( x + 4 ) yr

present age of shyam = ( 3/ 4 x + 4 ) yr

4 years hence :
_______________________________

age of ram = ( x + 4 + 4 ) yr

age of shyam = 3 / 4 x + 4 + 4

according to question ,

after 4 years ,

shyam's age will be 5 / 6 times that of ram ,
_______________________________

3 /4 x + 4 + 4 = 5 / 6 ( x + 4 + 4 )

3 x / 4 + 8 = 5 / 6 ( x + 8 )

( 3 x + 32 ) / 4 =( 5x + 40 ) / 6

( 3 x + 32 ) / 2 = ( 5x + 40 ) / 3

3 ( 3 x + 32 ) = 2 ( 5 x + 40 )

9 x + 96 = 10 x + 80

10 x - 9 x = 96 - 80 => x = 16

hence ,

present age of shyam = 3/ 4 x + 4

= 3 / 4 × 16 + 4 = 16 yr

therefore,

present age of shyam = 16 yr

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

4 years ago (past) S=3/4R

Means S:R will be 3:4

4 years hence (future)

Raito will be 5:6

Difference between two ratio will be 2.

2 here represents 8 years gap.

2×4=8

So multiplying factor is 4.

So at 5:6 means S is 20 years 5×4=20.

And R is 24 years.

4 years back is present age so 20 - 4=16 years

Suresh is 16 years old presently.
