Four years ago, the ratio of Arun's age to Mary's age was 3 : 2. The ratio becomes 4 : 3 this
year. What will be the ratio five years from now?​

So, x-4 : y-4 = 3 : 2

That is 3y-2x = 4.....(1)

and x : y = 4 : 3. That is 4y-3x = 0.....(2)

Therefore x+5 : y+5 = 21 : 17 is the required ratio
