Virat Kohli: Thanks for all the praise. Actually I stand nowhere in comparison to great cricket legends such as Tendulkar, Gavasakar sir, Kapil Dev sir, Ravi Shastri, Mr. Dhoni and many more!
Interviewer: Our viewers are curious to know many things about you from you. The first thing I want ask for the viewers is when did you actually feel you wanted to become a cricketer?
Virat Kohli: Actually I never ever wanted to become a cricketer; football was my passion. However, as I got an opportunity to play cricket, I liked it immensely; then there was no turning back.
Interviewer: Did you find any challenges initially?
Virat Kohli: Many! Challenges make us tough and strong. The more the challenges, the more the strength! I had to face many challenges on many fronts. Financial, academic, discouragement from people and circumstances; but there was a power that also helped me a lot. I would not be here if that help were not there.
Interviewer: Who was your ideal?
Virat Kohli: Well, there are many senior cricketers whom I loved watching. Shrikant sir, Gawaskar sir, Kapil sir, and then Tendulkar inspired me a lot.
Interviewer: Now, the last question! What is the secret behind your success?
Virat Kohli: My mother, family, hard-work, practice and all the friends and mentors who helped me in my tough times.
