Let us take total number of students be x.
Then number of books each students get will be 1/8 of x.
If the number of students become half then each student get 16 notebooks.
If each student get 16 notebooks then total number of students get x/2×16=8x books.
Then total number of books/the total number of students = total number of books given to each student.
=8x/x=x/2
So from here x=64
If total number of students is 64 then the books distributed to each student
=1/8×64=8 books to each student.
Then the total number of books distributed =64×8=512

Answer:

c.512

Step-by-step explanation:

let number of children of a class =x

then,number of books each child will get =x/8

If the number of children =n/2

number of books each child will get =16

More children, less books (It is indirect proportion)

n:n/2=16:n/8

n^2/8=8n

n/8=8

n=8×8

n=64

therefore,Total number of books distributed =8n

=8×64

=512

The correct answer is option (c)512.

I think it is correct.
