the sky is blue in colour because the blue light has the shortest wavelength therefore it deviates/bends less and reaches very fastly and easily to the observer's eye

the answer is not so easy as it seems delve into the deep and you will see it's not easy, let me explain it in brief the sky's color depends on factors such as the planets atmospheric composition and the nature of light arriving on the planet, by seeing your question I think you're talking about to why sky of EARTH is blue in color well that is due to the fact that out sun emits most of light as visible light and little bit of UV light if our sun emitted a lot of X Ray then sky will be of different color, then our eyes have evolved into seeing visible light only if seen with the right instruments The sky is NOT blue, Baffled are you well the sky also has a lot of UV color but your eyes can't see it if you have the right instruments you will be able to see it.

Inshort - You're told wrong that sky is blue it's your eye which sees blue color the sky. They teach wrong in schools
