Fresh fruits contain 68% water and rest is fruit.
Dry fruit contains 20% water and rest 80% is fruit.

32% * 100 = 80% * X
X = 32*100/80 = 40 kg
Hence 40 kg of dry fruits can be obtained from 100 kg fresh fruits

Step-by-step explanation:

Fresh fruit contains 72% water So, 100 Kgs. of fresh fruits will contain 72 Kgs. of water and 28 Kgs. of solid material.

When 100 Kgs. of fresh fruits are dried, 28 Kgs. of solid material will remain while a part of the 72 Kgs. of water will evaporate.

Given that these 28 Kgs. of solid material will account for 80% of the overall weight of dried fruits (as only 20% of the weight in dried fruit is water).

If 80% of the weight of dry fruits =28 Kgs., then 100% of dry fruits will weigh

80\28 ×100=35Kg
