Answer:

Friction is a contact force when two surfaces interact. The second equation is the kinetic frictional force that is used when two surfaces are sliding against each other.

Moving a couch across a floor, pushing a car up a hill, kicking a ball or pushing a desk across a room are some of the everyday examples where contact forces are at work. In the first case the force is continuously applied by the person on the car, while in the second case the force is delivered in a short impulse.

Hope this helps you.

friction force is contact force because friction force is applied when 2 objects are in their physical contact

For ex- 1. use of eraser

2. we apply brake on a fast moving car and the car stop because friction is applied betwn the road or the wheel of car

hope it's helpful
