Their are 6 multiples of 3 and 2 multiples of 7 .
So probability = 8/20
=2/5

Given,

20 tickets marked with the first 20 natural numbers.

To Find,

The chance that one random ticket contains a number that is multiple of 3 or 7.

Solution,

The formula for calculating the probability of an event is

Probability of an event = Favorable outcomes/total outcomes

Here,

Favorable outcomes = 8 {3,6,7,9,12,14,15,18}

Total number of outcomes = 20

So,

Probabillity = 8/20 = 4/10 = 2/5

Hence, the probability of getting a number that is multiple of both 3 or 7 is 2/5.
