Given :- From a circular sheet of radius 14 cm, 2 circles of radius 2.1 cm and a rectangle of length 1.6 cm and breadth 0.5 cm is removed. Find the area of the remaining sheet ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Area of circle = π * (radius)² .
  • Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

so,

→ Area of remaining sheet = Area of seat - (Area of 2 circles + Area od rectangle.)

Putting all values now, we get,

→ Area of remaining sheet = π(14)² - [2*{π*(2.1)²} + 1.6 * 0.5]

→ Area of remaining sheet = 22*14*2 - [2*22*2.1*0.3 + 0.8]

→ Area of remaining sheet = 616 - (27.72 + 0.8)

→ Area of remaining sheet = 616 - 28.52

→ Area of remaining sheet = 587.48 cm². (Ans.)

Hence, Area of remaining sheet is 587.48 cm².
