From a group of 22x black bees , square root of half of the group went to a tree. Again eight-ninth of the bees went to the same tree. The remaining two got caught up in a fragrant lotus. How many bees were there in total?

=> 22x - 18 = 9√11x

Squaring both sides

=> 484x² +  324 - 792x = 891x

=> 484x² - 1683x + 324 = 0

=>484x² - 99x - 1584x + 324 = 0

=> 11x(44x - 9) - 36(44x -9) = 0

=> (11x - 36)(44x - 9) = 0

x = 36/11  x = 9/44

22x = 22*36/11 = 72

22x = 22 * 9/44 = 4.5 ( not possible)
