From a ribbon 8 meters long, two pieces of length 23/10 meters and 19/5 meters were cut off. What is the length of the remaining ribbon?
Explain it also. ​

Answer:

Total length of ribbon= 8m

Length of 1st peice= 2 whole 3/10 = 23/10 = 2.3

Length of 2nd peice= 3 whole 4/5 = 19/5 = 3.8

Remaining peice= Total length of ribbon - Length of both peice

= 8 - (2.3 + 3.8)

= 8 - 6.1

= 1.9

= 19/10

= 1 whole 9/10
