mass of bullet be M2=0.05 kg

velocity of bullet = V2=35m/s^2

velocity of of rifle=V1=?

total momentum of bullet and pistol before firing

=4*0 + 0.05*0

=0

total momentum of bullet and pistol after firing

=4*v1 + 0.05*35

=4v1 + 1.75

according to law of conservation of mass

total momentum of bullet and pistol before firing equal to to total momentum of bullet and pistol after firing

0=4v1 + 1.75

-1.75=4v1

-1.75/4=v1

v1=0.44

required velocity of rifle equal to 0.44 metre per second
