From a rope 20m long, Ram cut off 3 pieces of 2 2/3 m(mixed fraction) each and Krish cut off 2 pieces of 4 ½ m (mixed fraction) each. What length of the rope is left?

part \: of \: rope \: cut \: by \: ram  \\ = 2  \frac{2}{3}  \times 3 \\    =  \frac{8}{3}  \times 3 \\   = 8m \\ part \: of \: rope \: cut \: by \: krish \\  = 4 \frac{1}{2}  \times 2 \\  =  \frac{9}{2}  \times 2 \\  = 9m

length of rope used = 9m + 8m = 17m

total \: length \: of \: rope = 20m \\ length \: of \: rope \: left  \\  = 20m - 17m \\  = 3m
