Sum = Rs 5000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Sum  = 6P  Rs

one third is invested at 3%  for 2 Years

=> 6P/3 = 2P

Interest = 2P * 3 * 2 /100  = 12P/100 Rs

one Sixth is invested at 6%  for 2 Years

=> 6P/6 = P

Interest = P * 6 * 2 /100  = 12P/100 Rs

Rest at 8 % for 2 Years

Rest = 6P - 2P - P  = 3P  Rs

Interest = 3P * 8 * 2 /100  = 48P/100 Rs

12P/100 + 12P/100 +  48P/100  = 600

=> 72P = 60000

Dividing by 12 on both sides

=> 6P = 5000

Sum = Rs 5000
