From metro station, 'A' metro train starts at regular interval of 10min and run towards 'B' metro station with constant speed of 80km/h without any stoppage. At some point of time, all trains simultaneously reduce their speed 50km/h due to defect in rails. What will become the time intervals between arrival of the trains at the metro station 'B' during the defect in rails?

The distance between the successive trains on the track is
= 10 min * 80 kmph = 40/3 km
When the speed of all trains is reduced to 50 kmph, then this
distance is covered in (40/3) km / 50 kmph = 4/15 hr = 16 minutes
time intervals = 15 minutes
= 10 min * 80 kmph = 40/3 km
When the speed of all trains is reduced to 50 kmph, then this
distance is covered in (40/3) km / 50 kmph = 4/15 hr = 16 minutes
time intervals = 15 minutes
