Simply, if angle between Hypotenuse and Base is 30° with length of Perpendicular (tower) as 100 m then let value of base be x.

tan30° = 100/x

→ 1/√3 = 100/x

x = 100√3

Since we know √3 = 1.732

→ x = 100 × 1.732

x = 173.2 m

Hence distance between foot of tower and point p is 173.2 m.
