Your question is a bit interesting.... first lemme say my opinion ...I think that when we lose someone we feel that our mental stability comes down...
Now lemme explain about this....
As we lose someone very close to us we really feel bad as we share each and every bit with them . Take True friends as an example .
They are the ones who understand our feelings and makes us inspired in difficult situations ... They won't leaves us but they will be with us in our sad moments . They are the ones who cares us like our parents and they are like the next position after parents in our caring ....
Now....what happens if we lose this friend in our life....
At first we don't have a person for sharing our feelings.
We don't feel better if we lose them as they are best persons of our life and understand us .
We start feeling loneliness every moment when we remember the best moments with them....
So....In my opinion I think the option d is correct...
# Hope it helps #
