Explanation:

Of all the characters in the play, Mrs. Dorchester is the one who is most founded in fact. On the other hand, Mrs. Payme Dexter dresses in a lorgnette merely to distinguish herself from other people. Mrs. Payne Dexter is told to relax and give the young debutantes a chance when she starts to feel jealous of them. She also points out that they have experienced their fair share of bad luck. The way she manages money after the passing of her husband is a testament to her grace and goodness. She is the only young wife in the drama who exhibits such family love and care. Mrs. Borchester is the kind of person who doesn't go quickly through life. She holds the view that old age should be accepted with as much elegance as possible, which the other women find ridiculously antiquated. She adores her spouse, and although it seems that love unites them, she finds it difficult to accept this. This indicates how firmly grounded in reality she is. She also gave Mrs. Blanchard the ability to walk without a cane. She was frightened she would pass away, so she felt she had to say something to bring herself back to life.
