Answer: 40m

Step-by-step explanation:refer your NCERT textbook pg no. 202 , example 6 for the drawing .

mark the first (smallest) triangle as ABE and second (largest) triangle as ADC

angle ABE & angle ADC are right angles .

In triangle ABE

tan60=60/AC

squareroot3 = 60/AC.

AC = 60/squareroot3 ---- 1

in triangle ADC

TAN30 =AB /EB   ( EB = DC)

1/squareroot3 = AB / 60 / squareroot3

1 / AB = squareroot3 / 60 / squareroot3

THE squareroot3 BELOW 60 GETS MULTIPLIED BY THE squareroot3 ABOVE 60 .

1 / AB = 3 / 60

1 / AB = 1 / 20

        AB = 20.

FROM FIGURE

AB + BC = AC

20m + BC = 60 m

   BC = 40M.

               ANS: THE HEIGHT OF THE TOWER ED IS 40m.
