Artificial respiration stimulates oxygen in a person. Artificial respiration is provided to a person whose natural respiratory system is disturbed or who has a problem in breathing.
For this reason mechanical ventilator is also used to move air in or out of the lungs when a person feels problem in breathing. This feature is usually present in the Intensive Care Unit.
It is meant for the patients during surgery, in anesthesia or in a state of coma or when his/her vital organs are not working.
