Plants need water for photosynthesis which is absorbed by the roots of teristial plants. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by the stomata. Nitrogen which is essential for synthesis of proteins is taken up by organic or inorganic ways.Atmospheric Nitrogen is convered by bacteria in form which can be absorbed by the leaves.
