For the organic products like fruit, cutting is an easy and straightforward process because proteins, tissues or cells can be divided with relatively little energy.

This is due to the reason that organic matter is highly flexible & the molecules bind through the weaker intermolecular interactions like van der waals forces and hydrogen bonding.

Answer:

Fruits can easily cut with a ‘sharp knife’ because it doesn’t create resistance on the fruit.

Explanation:

When we use a sharp knife to cut a fruit it doesn't create any resistant on the surface of fruit and therefore the fruit can be cut easily.

At the same time when we cut the fruit with blunt knife the blade feels lot of resistant from the surface of fruit. A sharp knife always have less surface area and less resistance when it comes in ‘contact with the fruit’.
