fruits can easily cut with a sharp knife. why does it happen ?

The force excreted on the fruit is more when the knife is blunt.its far easier to cut a fruit with a sharp knife as

The area of contact for a sharper knife is smaller than that of a blunt knife.

Blunt knife has thicker edges and its harder to cut even if we exert more force.

More the area smaller, it is sharper the knife. Hence, the sharp edges have small area than that of blunt edges.

On exerting pressure or force, the sharp  edges cut fruits. Hence, Fruits can easily cut with a sharp knife. We do not use blunt knives to cut fruits.
