Explanation:

                          Since the two blocks always remain in contact with each other, they must move with the same acceleration. Using Newton's second law, we get

For block m 1  : F−N=m 1 a......(i)

For block m2  :  N=m2 a......(ii)

On adding the two equations, we get

F = (m1 +m  2 )a⇒a =  F ÷ m1+m2

​  Substituting the value of a in (ii), we get N=m2 a        

             =    F m2 ÷ m1+m2
