Function of endocrine glands and hetrocrine gland
Answers
Answer:
Endocrine Function. The main function of endocrine glands is to secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream. Hormones are chemical substances that affect the activity of another part of the body (target site). In essence, hormones serve as messengers, controlling and coordinating activities throughout the body.
Heterocrine glands are those glands which have both exocrine and endocrine part. Pancreas is called heterocrine gland because it secretes the hormone insulin into blood which is an endocrine function and enzymes into digestive tract which is an exocrine function.
