epiphyllus buds act as vegetative propagules... when they are detached from the notches of leaf.. they are grown as separate individual..

the small buds which are araises on leat margins they are called epiphyllous buds.
if we keep the buds of bryophyllum in ground,the buds give arises to new plants and later slowly they lost their connection with parent plant.
