Function of Head of Government that is Prime Minister

Six Powers and Functions of Prime Minister :-

• He/she is the head of the government.
• He/she is the head or a member of all cabinet meetings.
• He/she looks after as well as distributes the work of different departments.
• He/she can change any minister of any department on any time.
• His/her decisions are final.
• He/she can dissolve the Lok sabha before it's terms end by taking the consult of President

Note:- Power of the Head of government at state level (Chief minister) is as quiet same as Prime minister but on state level

1.But a chief minister can't dissolve Lok sabha.

2. State government look after some main Function as = Police,health etc.

3. Chief minister too select the minister of any ministry

4. He/she is the head of all meetings of the state government

5. His/her decisions are final on state level.
