SEBI was established in 1988 and it was granted as a statutory powerhouse on 30th January 1992. SEBI stands for Securities and exchange board of Indian. It came into its power by SEBI ACT of 1992.
SEBI mainly perform few function to meet the objective. To fulfill their objectives they has mainly 3 important functions. These are:
1.Protection function
2. Development function
3. Regulatory function
