* They are closely packed without any intercellular space.

* The tissues are coated with cementing substance

*FUNCTION:
1) Gives mechanical support
2) Gives flexibility to the plants.

Parenchyma :-
The main function of parenchymatous tissue is assimilation and storage of reserve food material ( starch , fats , protein etc ).

Parenchyma cells provide rigidity to plant body due to turgitidy and help to maintain shape and firmness of body .

Collenchyma :-
Collenchyma is chief supporting tissue in young dicotyledons stems . it provide mechanical support, elasticity and tensile strength of body .

The collencyma is present at the Margins of some leaves and resist tearing effect of the wind .

Sclerenchyma :-
The main function of sclerenchyma is to give mechanical support to plant parts . It provides protecting covering around seeds and nuts .

HOPE IT HELP YOU .
