three consiquitive number is x,x+1,,x+2.now we are given that x+x+1=x+2+39..now solve for x..you will get the ans...as ans is 40

Let the three numbers be: x-1, x and x+1.

-Therefore, x-1 + x + x+1 =3x = 39
