Fungi are plants that lack chlorophyll.
Fungi have a cell wall made of chitin and get nutrients through absorption. Photosynthesis is not possible as they lack chlorophyll pigment. Fungi are either decomposers or parasites. Decomposers obtain their nutrients from dead biologic material. Fungi are heterotrophs.
